Outdoor Fireplaces & Fire Pits

A stone fire feature is the anchor of an outdoor room. It’s where everyone ends up.

Outdoor Fireplaces & Fire Pits in the Hill Country

Built for how you live outside

Fall and winter evenings in the Hill Country are made for sitting outside, and a fireplace or fire pit is what makes them happen. A stone fireplace gives the patio a focal point and a sense of enclosure. A fire pit brings people into a circle.

We build both from real masonry: proper footings, fire-rated materials, and stone veneer that matches your kitchen, walls or house. Wood-burning or gas, we size the firebox and chimney to draw correctly so the smoke goes up, not into your guests’ faces.

We build outdoor fireplaces & fire pits throughout Lago Vista, Jonestown, Cedar Park, Volente, Leander and Liberty Hill, and in communities from Tessera and The Hollows to Travisso and Santa Rita Ranch.

What we build

  • Stone outdoor fireplaces with hearth and mantel
  • Wood-burning and gas-burning fireboxes
  • Round and square stone fire pits
  • Fire pit seating areas and seat walls
  • Built-in wood storage niches
  • Fireplace-and-pergola combinations
  • Gas line coordination

Choose your look

Wood-burning

Real crackle and smell; best on larger lots with room for smoke to clear.

Gas

Flip-a-switch convenience, no ash, and easier for tight HOA lots.

Fireplace

A vertical focal point that screens views and wind.

Fire pit

A lower-cost, sociable circle; pairs beautifully with dry-laid flagstone.

Local know-how

Burn bans, wind and placement

Travis and Williamson counties issue burn bans in dry stretches, which is one reason many clients choose gas or a dual-ready firebox. We place fire features with clearance from the house, trees and overhangs, factor in prevailing wind on lake lots, and build seating so the fire stays the focal point without blocking the view.

FAQ

Outdoor Fireplaces & Fire Pits: common questions

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call and ask. You'll talk to the person who'll build it.

Can I use a wood-burning fire pit during a burn ban?

Burn-ban rules vary and change with conditions, so always check your county’s current order. Gas fire features are often the more practical choice for year-round use, which is why we build a lot of them.

Fireplace or fire pit: which is better?

A fireplace makes a stronger design statement and blocks wind and views. A fire pit costs less and is more social. On many projects we build a fireplace off the patio and a fire pit area down the slope.

Will my outdoor fireplace smoke out the patio?

Not if the firebox and chimney are sized and built correctly. Draft problems come from bad proportions, and we build to proven firebox ratios.

Can you match the stone on my house?

Usually, yes. We source limestone, ledgestone and fieldstone to match or complement your existing masonry.

Justin and team have kept my yard in shape, done more serious cleanup of shrubs and trees and do a fantastic job. I have seen some of his bigger jobs and they are amazing. Love the work and the people conscientious. Glad to use a local company.

We have been using Just-N-Time for a couple of years now. After trying out other services in the area that were very lackluster, Just-N-Time has proven to be the most reliable and is extremely focused on doing a great job and providing great service.
