Custom Outdoor Kitchens

Built in stone, planned around the way you cook and host, and finished to match the house.

Outdoor Kitchens in the Hill Country

Built for how you live outside

An outdoor kitchen is the one project that changes how a family uses the whole back yard. Done right, the grill stops being a thing parked on the patio and becomes the center of every weekend: the place people gather, the reason guests stay late, and a real selling point when the house goes on the market.

We design and build outdoor kitchens as permanent masonry: block-framed islands clad in natural stone, with countertops, appliances, storage, lighting and gas or electric run to code. Every layout starts with how you cook: where the prep happens, where the heat goes, where guests stand, and where the sun and wind hit at 6 p.m. in August.

We build outdoor kitchens throughout Lago Vista, Jonestown, Cedar Park, Volente, Leander and Liberty Hill, and in communities from Tessera and The Hollows to Travisso and Santa Rita Ranch.

What we build

  • Grill islands and L- or U-shaped cook stations
  • Built-in grills, side burners, griddles and smokers
  • Wood-fired pizza ovens
  • Bar seating, raised counters and serving ledges
  • Stone veneer: limestone, ledgestone and fieldstone
  • Granite, quartzite or concrete countertops
  • Stainless doors, drawers and outdoor refrigeration
  • Gas line, electrical and task lighting coordination

Local know-how

Built for Texas heat and Hill Country ground

Our clay and limestone soils move, and our summers are brutal on finishes. We set kitchens on properly prepared bases, choose countertops that won’t craze in direct sun, and orient the cook side so the chef isn’t staring into the western sun at dinner time. On lake lots with a slope, we’ll often build the kitchen on its own terrace with a low stone wall so it reads as part of the landscape.

FAQ

Outdoor Kitchens: common questions

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call and ask. You'll talk to the person who'll build it.

How long does an outdoor kitchen take to build?

Most kitchens take one to three weeks of on-site work once materials and appliances are on hand. Larger builds with a pizza oven, pergola or new patio run longer. We give you a schedule before we break ground.

Can you add an outdoor kitchen to my existing patio?

Often, yes. We’ll check that the existing slab or stone patio can carry the weight of a masonry island. If it can’t, we’ll extend or rebuild that section so the kitchen sits on a proper footing.

Do I need HOA approval for an outdoor kitchen?

In most master-planned communities, yes. Travisso, Santa Rita Ranch, The Hollows and similar neighborhoods have architectural review. We provide the drawings, material samples and dimensions your ARC typically asks for.

Should I pair the kitchen with a pergola?

In Central Texas, shade is what makes an outdoor kitchen usable from May to September. A pergola or covered structure over the cook and bar area is one of the most common pairings we build.

Justin and team have kept my yard in shape, done more serious cleanup of shrubs and trees and do a fantastic job. I have seen some of his bigger jobs and they are amazing. Love the work and the people conscientious. Glad to use a local company.

We have been using Just-N-Time for a couple of years now. After trying out other services in the area that were very lackluster, Just-N-Time has proven to be the most reliable and is extremely focused on doing a great job and providing great service.
