Custom Pergolas & Shade Structures
Real shade, real architecture, and the difference between a patio you look at and one you live on.
Built for how you live outside
In Central Texas, shade decides whether an outdoor space gets used. A well-designed pergola turns a hot slab into an outdoor room, frames the view toward the lake or hills, and ties the patio, kitchen and house together.
We build pergolas sized and oriented to the sun on your lot, not to a kit catalog. Rafter spacing, height and direction are set so shade lands where you sit during the hours you’re actually outside. Posts are anchored on proper footings, and we can wrap bases in stone to match your kitchen, fireplace or house.
We build pergolas & shade structures throughout Lago Vista, Jonestown, Cedar Park, Volente, Leander and Liberty Hill, and in communities from Tessera and The Hollows to Travisso and Santa Rita Ranch.

Choose your look

Designed around the Texas sun and lake wind
Afternoon sun comes in hard from the west, and lakefront lots in Volente, Jonestown and Lago Vista catch serious wind. We orient rafters to block the low western sun and anchor posts on footings sized for exposure. Most HOAs and some cities have setback and height rules for structures, and we plan around those from the start.
Pergolas & Shade Structures: common questions
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call and ask. You'll talk to the person who'll build it.
Cedar or steel: which pergola should I choose?
Cedar is warmer and more traditional and fits most Hill Country homes. Steel costs more, needs almost no maintenance and gives you slimmer posts and longer spans, which is ideal when you don’t want to block a view.
How much shade does a pergola really give?
Open-rafter pergolas typically give partial shade that shifts through the day. We tune rafter spacing and direction for your sun exposure, and we can add shade panels or a solid roof section where you need full coverage.
Does a pergola need a permit?
It depends on your city and the size of the structure. Many HOAs also require approval. We’ll tell you what applies to your address before we start.
Can you build a pergola over an existing patio?
Yes. We’ll either core through for proper footings or set posts just outside the slab, depending on what the existing patio can support.

Justin and team have kept my yard in shape, done more serious cleanup of shrubs and trees and do a fantastic job. I have seen some of his bigger jobs and they are amazing. Love the work and the people conscientious. Glad to use a local company.
We have been using Just-N-Time for a couple of years now. After trying out other services in the area that were very lackluster, Just-N-Time has proven to be the most reliable and is extremely focused on doing a great job and providing great service.
Rock bed project completed & decent pricing and looks great! Mow, edge, blow as weekly yard maintenance & Justin's crew does great too!
Used these guys for a few years now. Always a timely response when I need them. Very thorough while performing and completing the work I needed. Local business, so support them!
Landscapers did what suppose to do, I could ask if they would do some other things, did not hesitate to help me.
Did great work on short notice on my lawn.
