Tree Trimming & Removal

Healthier canopy, safer roofline, better views, with oak wilt timing respected on every cut.

Tree Trimming & Removal in the Hill Country

Built for how you live outside

Fall and winter are tree season in Central Texas. Trees are dormant, oak wilt risk is at its lowest, and it’s the best time to lift canopies off the roof, open up lake views and remove dead or hazardous limbs before spring storms.

We handle trimming, full removals, stump grinding and storm cleanup, including climbing work on trees that can’t be reached from the ground. Every job is cleaned up completely, and oak cuts are timed and treated to reduce oak wilt risk.

We build tree trimming & removal throughout Lago Vista, Jonestown, Cedar Park, Volente, Leander and Liberty Hill, and in communities from Tessera and The Hollows to Travisso and Santa Rita Ranch.

Local know-how

Oak wilt is the Hill Country’s biggest tree threat

Live oaks and red oaks across Travis and Williamson counties are vulnerable to oak wilt, and fresh pruning wounds in spring can attract the beetles that spread it. The Texas A&M Forest Service recommends avoiding oak pruning from February through June and painting every oak wound immediately. That’s why fall and winter are the best time to schedule oak work.

FAQ

Tree Trimming & Removal: common questions

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call and ask. You'll talk to the person who'll build it.

When is the best time to trim oak trees in Texas?

Generally July through January, avoiding the February–June high-risk window for oak wilt spread. Every oak wound should be painted right away, which we do on every cut.

Do you grind stumps?

Yes. We grind stumps below grade so you can plant, lay sod or build over the area.

Can you handle storm damage?

Yes. We clear broken limbs and downed trees and haul the debris. For trees on structures, call us right away.

How much should be trimmed off a tree?

Less than most people think. Over-thinning stresses a tree and invites sunscald and weak regrowth. We take what’s needed for clearance, safety and structure.

Justin and team have kept my yard in shape, done more serious cleanup of shrubs and trees and do a fantastic job. I have seen some of his bigger jobs and they are amazing. Love the work and the people conscientious. Glad to use a local company.

We have been using Just-N-Time for a couple of years now. After trying out other services in the area that were very lackluster, Just-N-Time has proven to be the most reliable and is extremely focused on doing a great job and providing great service.
